Muslims in America: Immigrants and their Children

Muslim-Americans constitute one of the most diverse and rapidly growing communities in the United States and in western New York. Dr. Vincent Parrillo, an emeritus professor of Sociology at William Paterson University, will present a lecture on “Muslims in America: Immigrants and their Children” on Thursday, April 13, from noon-1 p.m. in MPR, LL Gallagher Center.

Dr. Parrillo is the author of numerous scholarly articles, PBS documentaries, and books, including: Strangers to These Shores: Race and Ethnic Relations in the United States 12th ed. (Pearson 2020); Cities and Urban Life 7th ed. (Pearson, 2016); Understanding Race and Ethnic Relations 5th ed. (Pearson, 2016); Diversity in America 4th ed. (Routledge, 2013).
