New NU Merchandise Store to be named “The Perch”
During the month of October an online student contest was held to supply ideas for the new Niagara University merchandise store in the Gallagher Center. An enormous response supplied over 500 suggestions. A panel of students and staff selected the winning name of The Perch.
Three students submitted The Perch as their suggestion. Each student will receive a $250 gift card to the store as the top prize for having their name selected. The Perch was constructed this past summer and opened last month. The store is operated by Barnes & Noble and features a variety of Niagara University apparel, accessories, glassware, and more.
The Perch is open now Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Saturdays 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. There are plans to have a grand opening event during the Spring 2021 semester.
