NHL Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine comes to campus for youth sports event
NHL Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine and CEO of Life Sports Chris Price will lead a conversation on re-imagining 21st-century youth sports Saturday, March 25, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Russell J. Salvatore Dining Commons on the Niagara University campus. The event is free and open to the public and is funded by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation’s Cornerstone Sport Initiative. Youth sport organizations with four or more attendees will receive $100 participation grants.
The interactive discussion, presented by Niagara University’s College of Hospitality, Sports and Tourism Management, will focus on the future of building sustainable youth sports models that support athletes, families, and communities. LaFontaine, Price, and other industry leaders will discuss the national youth sports landscape and share the resources they are using/creating to build a sustainable youth sports model for the community.
