Niagara Athletics: Week of March 31, 2014

Lacrosse
The Niagara women’s lacrosse team hosts Detroit in non-conference action on Wednesday, April 2. Opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Niagara field.

The team will hold its “Pink Out” game during their tilt against the Titans. T-shirts will be available for purchase along with raffles and giveaways, with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Admission to the women’s lacrosse game will be free, though donations will be accepted.

Tennis
The Purple Eagles hit the court this weekend as the men continue its home stand with matches against Binghamton on April 4 at 11 a.m. and Fairfield on April 5 at 5 p.m. The women will also host the Stags on April 5 for a 5 p.m. start. All matches will be played at the North Tonawanda Sportsplex.

Baseball
The Niagara baseball team will begin the home portion of the 2014 schedule this weekend as the Purple Eagles host the Quinnipiac Bobcats in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 5, at noon and 3 p.m., and a single game the following day at noon. The location of the contests is yet to be determined.
