Niagara Catholic To Recognize Niagara University With Community Service Award

Niagara University’s longstanding commitment to community service will be recognized during Niagara Catholic High School’s Baccalaureate Mass tonight at 6 p.m.

The Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., president, will accept the Deus, Domus, et Patria (God, Home and Country) Community Service Award on behalf of Niagara University from Judith Nolan Powell, chair of the Niagara Catholic board of trustees, and Ronald K. Buggs, president/principal at Niagara Catholic.

The annual award recognizes a community group for its commitment and service to the community at large.

The Mass, during which Father Maher will be the primary celebrant, will take place at the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, located on the St. Leo’s site at 2748 Military Road in Niagara Falls.
