Niagara Team Wins CSCMP International Logistics And Supply Chain Student Competition 2014
Niagara University hosted the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Western New York Chapter 2014 International Logistics and Supply Chain Student Competition on Friday, April 11.
John Hogg of Straight-Forward Consulting and president of the CSCMP advised, “Part of the mission of the CSCMP is to further education in the supply chain discipline, and we think we’ve done that with this fun and educational event. A sincere thank you to all of the schools who fielded a team, and congratulations to Niagara for winning the championship! Here in Western New York, we are uniquely positioned as a strong cross-border trade region. We are happy with the results of our inaugural student competition, and we look to build on this success for next year and for years to come.”
The competition consisted of three teams of four students from three local schools – Canisius College, Daemen College and Niagara University – in a quiz show format. The questions asked in the competition reflected the curricula used in international logistics and supply chain courses and textbooks used in higher education.
