Niagara University Baseball to Play Charity Hockey Game

In Announcements, by , on November 20th, 2013

Every year for the past nine years, the Niagara University baseball team has held an intra-squad hockey game at Dwyer Arena. As the event has evolved and the attendance has increased, it was decided that this would serve as a great opportunity for our team to raise money for a great cause. Last year, through generous donations given at the door and from NU faculty and staff, we were able to raise $151 to help 2010 NU alum Dennis Chachko’s mother, Barbara, after her house was severely damaged in Hurricane Sandy. Our total gift to her was $500 after adding our portion of the donation.

This year’s game is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 10 p.m. in Dwyer Arena. This year’s our goal is to RAISE ALL $500 through donations at the hockey game. The entire proceeds will go to the Miracle League of Western New York.

Come out and watch the baseball players skate (and fall…a lot) for a great cause. For questions or advance donations, please contact Rob McCoy in the baseball office at rmccoy@niagara.edu or ext. 7361. Thank you in advance for for your support.
