Niagara University Receives Director’s Award From Community Missions
Niagara University was presented with the Director’s Award from Community Missions of Niagara Frontier Inc. during the organization’s 25th Annual Awards Brunch on May 24 at the LaSalle Yacht Club.
Numerous partnerships exist between Niagara University and CMI. Among them are many programs that encourage students to gain practical experience at the agency, which include IMPACT (formerly Learn and Serve Niagara), the Vincentian Scholars program, the Shepherd Consortium on Poverty, and TAAP (Taking Action Against Poverty), a program bringing freshmen interested in social work degrees out to shadow CMI employees to determine if their interests align with the work done in the field.
