Niagara University Social Work Majors Receive Zonta Club Award

Two Niagara University social work majors have been selected for the 2016 Safe at Home Conference Award by the Zonta Club of Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Thanks to the award, Tanya Lefabvre, of Welland, Ontario, and Karissa Briggs, a native of Niagara Falls, N.Y., will attend the Niagara County Family Violence Intervention Project’s annual Safe at Home Conference free of charge.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 3 at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls. This year’s conference topic is “Seeking Solutions for Adult and Child Victims of Family Violence,” which supports Zonta International’s mission.
