Niagara University Student Reenlists In U.S. Army

Sgt. 1st Class Jacob Hanna reenlisted in the United States Army during a ceremony held Dec. 19 at Niagara Falls State Park.

Hanna is an instructor in the Army ROTC program at Niagara University, where he is also studying criminal justice. He reenlisted into “indefinite” status, which means that he now has no definitive end date to his enlistment.

A veteran of multiple Operation Iraqi Freedom deployments, Hanna, of Harrison, Mich., is eligible to retire in approximately five years.

Lt. Col. Gary Love, chair of NU’s military science department, served as reenlisting official.
