Niagara University Students Offer Meals, Music & Gifts to Soup Kitchen Guests

Every Thursday evening during the academic year, Niagara University students run the St. Vincent de Paul Society soup kitchen at St. George’s Church in downtown Niagara Falls. A team of student-leaders plan the menu for each week, fundraise, grocery shop, prepare, and serve the meal to guests.

Earlier this month, the NU students teamed with Metz Culinary Management, the university’s foodservice provider, to serve the soup kitchen’s guests a special holiday meal consisting of turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, soup, salad, rolls and pie.
