NU Library Resource: The New and Improved Digital Theatre+
NU Library’s database Digital Theatre+, which includes videos and educational content, recently completed a major upgrade. If you haven’t been there in a while, consider taking a look: https://niagara. libguides.com/az.php?a=all&s= 16957&t=2946
In addition to searching, you can now browse by 4 categories:
– Titles for specific works (such as Antigone, King Lear, or Into the Woods)
– Genres (such as Satire, Musical Theater, or Tragicomedy)
– Themes (such as Coming of Age, Expressionism, or Race and Performance)
– People for writers, directors, or actors (such as Eugene O’Neil, Phyllida Lloyd, or Ray Fearon)
Browsing those categories, or doing a search, brings up different kinds of resources:
– Productions – videos of recorded play/musical performances
– Video Resources – interviews and other educational videos
– Written Resources – includes study guides for specific works, background information on writers & genres, and directors’ written accounts of specific productions
– Teaching Resources – includes workshop guides, lesson plans, and ready-made assessments
