NU nursing student and graduates are recognized by Professional Nurses’ Association of WNY
The Professional Nurses’ Association of Western New York held their 2015 annual awards banquet on June 9, 2015. Two of our Catholic Health RN to BS students were recognized as nominees for the 2015 Outstanding Staff Nurse. They are Laurie Laugerman, ’14 (graduate), who currently works at Sisters of Charity Hospital, and Wendy Fechter, ’16 (current student), who works at Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph’s Campus. In addition, one of our newly graduated traditional (4-year) nursing graduates, Lauren Hourihan, was one of three who received a scholarship for outstanding academic and clinical performance. Lauren is from Rochester and is set to begin working in pediatric nursing at Strong Memorial Hospital.
