NU Theatre Presents… Jane Austen’s EMMA
JANE AUSTEN’S EMMA
Music, lyrics and book by Paul Gordon
To round off the fall lineup, NU Theatre will be mounting a magnificently musical model of matchmaking mayhem when Jane Austen’s adored heroine, Emma, returns to life in this romantic musical comedy (Dec. 2-12). Emma is a well-meaning, but disaster-prone cupid wanna-be, who ignores her own romantic feelings while setting out to find a suitor for her friend Harriet. When her attempts at matchmaking go awry, Emma is forced to face herself and the people she has hurt. Directed by Steve Braddock and music-directed by Dr. Bridget Moriarty, fall in love all over again with one of Jane Austen’s most beloved characters.
Jane Austen’s EMMA is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com.
