NU THEATRE presents “Much Ado About Nothing” by William Shakespeare

In Other, by , on November 9th, 2023

“SOME CUPID KILLS WITH ARROWS, SOME WITH TRAPS.” LAUGHTER, LAMENTATION, LIBEL, LIES, AND LOVE. YUP, THAT’S SHAKESPEARE …

Beatrice and Benedick would rather exchange blistering insults than sweet nothings. However, the pugnacious pair is forced to forge a partnership in order to defend family and honor, and save true love between Hero and Claudio after malicious rumors devastate the lovers’ wedding day. Will their sincere struggle to restore young love prompt surprising changes in all four, and restore some Christmas cheer? Much Ado may be the Bard’s most sublime battle of wits, masquerading as screwball comedy
