Forty men and women participated in the pinning ceremony, which serves as the symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the nursing profession.

Following a homily by the Rev. Vincent O’Malley, C.M., university chaplain, the graduates were presented with pins signifying academic achievement, scholarly learning, professional dedication and Christian commitment. The pins, received by graduates to acknowledge completion of the program, are designed to be unique to the institution where they are attained.
