NU’s Family Literacy Center Presents Enrichment Book Club for Children
Niagara University’s Family Literacy Center is offering an Enrichment Book Club for local student in grades 3-8.
The free program takes place at NU from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on March 19, April 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2018. It offers fun, engaging and motivating reading experiences that pair literature with age-appropriate discussions and activities.
Research confirms that student motivation is a key factor in successful reading. Book clubs can be an excellent venue for building excitement and friendship over good books. The small group setting will invite children into active learning and provide them with opportunities to speak, interact and exchange points of view.
