Online Course Design Community

In Announcements, by , on October 22nd, 2013

Instructional Support would like to announce our online professional learning community (PLC) for this fall. This is an opportunity for you to fully experience taking an online course because the PLC is completely online with no face-to-face meetings. It is for those thinking about designing an online or hybrid course and for veteran instructors who are considering updates to their course. This group will have the opportunity to hear from guest speakers, from both on and off campus. Starting in October, the group will begin with the basics of online course design. The course is structured to focus on independent course design time in a supportive online community. Colleagues, the instructional support specialist, as well as the user education librarian, will be available to collaborate and provide necessary resources for the design or redesign of your online or hybrid course. The PLC will run from Oct. 21, until Nov. 25, 2013. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all who actively participate for the fall 2013 semester.
