Plagiarism Resources for Faculty

In Upcoming Events, by , on September 18th, 2018

Part of the NU Library’s Skill Shops series. Join Outreach Librarian Jaclyn McKewan, and Professor Erin Karper (co-chair of the Academic Integrity Board) for a look at what faculty can do about student plagiarism. We’ll start by reviewing the types of plagiarism and the university policies on Academic Integrity. Then we’ll look at strategies that instructors can try to prevent or detect student plagiarism, and learn about the campus-wide resources available to you and your students. We will also discuss special considerations for dealing with international students who may not have the same cultural norms regarding how an expert’s information is used.
