Prayers are requested for Thomas Hofschneider
It is with deep sadness that we share news of the passing of Thomas Hofschneider, a dear friend of Campus Ministry and the university community. You may have seen Tom walking the campus grounds with his wife, Doreen, enjoying lunch at the picnic tables and stopping into various offices to say hello. During the colder months, he might have even invited you to build a snowman. Perhaps you ran into him at a basketball game where he only stopped cheering long enough to dance with his bride to “Sweet Caroline.” If you attend Mass on campus, you certainly know the extent of Tom’s talent and generosity, as he always took special care of our Alumni Chapel and preparing for our Sunday and weekday Masses. We will miss Tom’s humor, love of life and care-free attitude, and the way he always knew how to fix anything. Services will be planned at a later time. For now, please pray for the repose of Tom’s soul, for Doreen, and all his family and friends who miss him terribly.
