As the university continues to host a variety of events on a regular basis, we need to emphasize the importance of effective communication between all offices and departments.
The Center for Events and Management Development will be scheduling a monthly pre-events meeting the first Thursday of every month in lower level Gallagher Center, Room 110, to discuss upcoming events for that month on- and off-campus.
The meetings will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. The next scheduled meeting will occur Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.
Topics to be covered include, but are not limited to:
- Room setups
- Unicco: work orders
- Sodexo: menu review
- Campus Safety: parking recommendations
- Special guests to campus
If you are holding a meeting/event for the month in question and would like to meet as a group, please plan on attending the pre-events meeting by contacting Roxanne Cardone at firstname.lastname@example.org. Attendance for this meeting is at the discretion of the individual, and is meant to help provide you with exceptional customer service.
The benefit for attending this meeting will allow you to explain the purpose of your event and to make sure all stakeholders are aware of your expectations. All upcoming events will be discussed at the beginning of the meeting to allow all groups to be reviewed. This opportunity is intended to benefit you as the event planner, help showcase Niagara University to internal and external audiences, and eliminate last-minute requests.
