Pre-Law Student Association receives visit from alumni, Jenna McDonnell, ’10
Jenna McDonnell, esq. (’10) returned to alma mater to discuss women in legal practice to the assembled Niagara University Pre-Law Student Association at its Oct. 5 meeting. Joined by many students from Dr. Peter J. Baxter’s Women & the Law course, Jenna McDonnell discussed her personal experiences in law school, in legal internships she experienced, and in legal practice here in Buffalo with the elite firm of Gibson, McAskill & Crosby. Jenna highlighted the importance of the pre-professional training and moot court experience in the pre-law she received at Niagara to her success in her legal education and beyond. The students benefitted greatly from Jenna returning to alma mater and underscoring the vital importance woman-to-woman mentoring plays in the development of the female law student and female attorney.
