Purple Eagles hockey dinner: Oct. 14
The Niagara University department of athletics will hold its second annual Purple Eagles hockey dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Sheraton at the Falls in Niagara Falls, New York. Anyone interested in supporting the hockey program is encouraged to attend this great event.
Director of athletics Simon Gray, along with head coach David Burkholder, will welcome guest speaker former NHL veteran Dave Silk, who played for the Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets, Detroit Red Wings and the New York Rangers during his 13-year career. Silk was a member on the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team, which won the gold medal and had two assists against the Soviet Union in the game known as the “Miracle On Ice”.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will start at 5:30 p.m. with dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program. The cost is $100 per person and $800 per table of eight which includes public recognition. Contact Jennifer Ebbole at 716.286.8600 or jebbole@niagara.edu to secure your seat.
