Run with Father Maher to Support Special Olympics

In Announcements, by , on May 26th, 2015

Remember last June when Father Maher ran six miles – carrying a lit torch – to support Special Olympics?

You can join him this year – and we’ve even reduced the trot to only four miles.

The Lewiston leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics takes place Monday, June 1. Runner registration begins at 1:30 p.m., with the run itself starting at 2 p.m.  Niagara University, along with law enforcement personnel, will be carrying the Flame of Hope to the streets of Lewiston, kicking off the weeklong Torch Run initiative.

The Torch Run will begin at the Kiernan Center, travel down U.S. Route 104 (Lewiston Road), exit at the Creek Road Ext., turn left onto Cayuga Street., to left on to Ridge Road down to Center Street, as we finish at the Red Brick School.

The entire campus community is invited. We ask that all participants purchase an official Torch Run shirt for $20. Proceeds benefit the Special Olympics.

Register today at: www.tinyurl.com/NU2015run – Enter promo code LETR to ensure your $20 registration.

Not a runner? No problem! Purchase a shirt, sponsor or even come out and cheer… there are so many ways to get involved!
