Poster Presentations: Nov. 21, 2013
CRL 101 Poster Presentations (three classes) will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 9:40 -11 a.m., 11:10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and 2:10 – 3:30 p.m. All presentations will take place in the multi-purpose room in the Gallagher Center. Students will present their posters on five high-interest books: “First They Killed My Father,” by Loung Ung; “Warriors Don’t Cry,” by Melba Pattillo Beals; “A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier,” by Ishmael Beah; “Letters from the End of the World,” by Toyofumi Ogura; and “Dear Zari: The Secret Lives of the Women of Afghanistan,” by Zarghuna Kargar.
Visitors are vital to the success of this project, and students will be eager to tell you about the books. Come to one class, two classes, or all three. Professors: if the subjects of these books are relevant to a course you teach, please encourage your students to attend. Contact Sharon Green at ext. 8071 or email@example.com for more information.
