Please join us: breakfast with Senator Ortt.

Border Community SERVICE of Niagara University is pleased to announce that  New York State Senator Robert Ortt (R,C, I – North Tonawanda) will be presenting on the plans for the WNY First Response and Preparedness Center on June 4 at the Castellani Art Museum.  Registration and breakfast will begin at 9:30 a.m., with Senator Ortt’s remarks beginning at 10 a.m.

The proposed WNY First Response and Preparedness Center will seek to serve as an emergency hub to improve response capabilities across the region for natural disasters, weather-related issues, or national security threats.  It would also serve as a training facility for first responders, law enforcement agencies and community organizations.

The site of the WNY First Response and Preparedness Center would be the former Niagara Falls U.S. Army Reserve Center, located at 9400 Porter Road in the Town of Niagara.

This breakfast will replace the annual empowering volunteers conference normally scheduled at NU during June.  Attendees are requested to register (to ensure that there is ample breakfast available for all).
