Want Lunch?

Please join us for a NULTA endorsed panel discussion and luncheon in Lower Level Gallagher Multipurpose Room about sensitive topics that come up in the classroom and in assignments. We will be discussing the balance between protecting the privacy of students while understanding if there are things faculty must report when encountering sensitive information about students’ emotions and experiences. What’s the line? How do faculty members make informed decisions? As a growing and ever-changing faculty we need to know what is required versus what is considered a best practice when it comes to the reporting of sensitive issues such as trauma and mental health.

Panel participants include Jamie Carr, Stephanie (Cole) Adams, Monica Romeo, Shannon Hodges, and Carrie McLaughlin. Given their diverse areas of expertise, we’ll be able to discuss this topic from a variety of perspectives: pedagogical, legal, counseling and student affairs.

All are welcome, but if you would like a meal reserved please email castlassistant@niagara.edu
