Speaker Dr. Keith Caldwell on Jan. 19

Dr. Keith J. Caldwell will speak at two events on Thursday, Jan. 19, on campus.

Caldwell presents “Best Practices for Engaging Communities for Research, Publication, Promotion and Tenure” on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. in Bisgrove 350. Join NU alumnus and current Executive Director of Place-Based Initiatives for the Office of Engagement and Community Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh for a discussion on community engaged research, and the co-creation process.

Then at 4 p.m., please join us for hors d’oeuvres and casual conversation while Dr. Caldwell presents “Best practices for university and community collaboration” at NU@822, 822 Cleveland Ave., Niagara Falls.

Attendees will learn

  • Strategies to build upon existing collaborations as the foundation for high-impact engagement practices.
  • Examples of community engaged research, and the co- creation process.
  • Approaches to strengthening partnerships and programs.

Doors open at 4 p.m., with the event beginning at 4:30 p.m.
