Special Lecture: Connecting STE with M
Wednesday, November 20, at 4:00pm
Speaker: Dr. Robert Rogers, SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Mathematics, SUNY Fredonia
Theoretical chemistry, internet security, kidney stone treatment, satellite dishes, credit cards; what connects these seemingly diverse topics? This talk will explore the mathematics behind these topics. Furthermore, the mathematical topics required to understand these applications only involve drawing, counting, numbers, some geometry, and some imagination.
