STUDENT-LED DONATION DRIVES ON CAMPUS: PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!

Our NU students are truly embracing the University’s Vincentian values this month! Through the passion and compassion of students on campus, there will be several donation drives occurring before Thanksgiving break.

MAGDALENE PROJECT DONATION DRIVE AND FUNDRAISER

Recently, The Magdalene Project of Niagara Falls experienced extensive damage to a vehicle along with a number of street outreach supplies as a result of a fire. Heading into the winter season, the need for certain items is greater than usual. NU student, Emma Simoneaux, is spearheading a donation drive to help the Magdalene Project. Please consider donating the following needed items: New/Lightly used blankets; Non-perishable food; Winter Gear: Jackets, Scarves, Hats, Gloves, Boots, etc.; Hygiene Products: Deodorant, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, etc.

Collection bins can be found in the Residents Life Office, IMPACT Office, Campus Ministry, and the Library. Donation bins will be available from now until November 25, 2019.

The Magdalene Project assists people who are on the streets of Niagara Falls, NY through providing food, clothing, and toiletries to those in need. Their vehicles are essential to transporting these good for their street outreach mission. To assist with repair costs, there will also be a fundraiser from November 18 to November 22, 2019 in Lower Level Gallagher. Please support this effort by purchasing a mug filled with hot cocoa mix!

FEMININE HYGEINE PRODUCT DONATION DRIVE

The NU Peace Action group is accepting donations of hygiene products that will be given to local organizations who serve women in Niagara Falls. Anonymous drop off bins are located in the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the IMPACT Office, Campus Ministry, and the O’Shea Hall Food Pantry. Please consider donating: Tampons; Pads; New Underwear; New Bras.

BOTTLE COLLECTION DRIVE FOR THANKSGIVING MEALS

NU student Kaylee Woodruff is asking you to donate your recyclable bottles (soda bottles, water bottles, etc.) for a good cause. Bottles collected will be returned and all funds will be donated to a local cause that provides free Thanksgiving meals to residents in need. Donations will be accepted at the following locations:

  • On Campus: IMPACT Office and Campus Ministry
  • Off Campus: Fashion Outlet Mall Customer Service Desk
