In Announcements, by , on June 4th, 2021

Consistent with Niagara’s energy conservation efforts relative to the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment, the University will be consolidating building classroom usage to reduce air conditioning load during the summer. Designated buildings, after normal working hours, will have the air conditioning temperature set at 80 degrees, again in compliance with the University’s energy policy.
Listed below are the established on/off times for classroom building’s air conditioning systems. While access will not be restricted, buildings during off times will have higher temperatures. If planning an event in a building that is scheduled to have the air conditioning off, please be sure to schedule the room and event using Ad Astra. The office of University Conference and Events will ensure that the air conditioning is available for the scheduled event.

Other buildings on campus will have the AC reduced after normal work hours. If AC is needed after normal work hours, please place a Facility Services work request a minimum of 72 hours in advance if possible. Please provide specific information as to when adjusted times (on and off times) and specific location.

The following schedule will be in effect beginning Monday, May 24, 2021 through Saturday, August 14, 2021. The Library, Golisano Center and Gallagher Center will be air conditioned at all times. Per the schedule, the following classroom buildings will be air conditioned as follows:
