SUSAN B. ANTHONY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, 6 – 7 p.m., VIN 406

Famous women’s rights reformer Susan B. Anthony is a Western New York hero whose work still influences us. Join us in celebrating her life’s work, which culminated in women gaining the right to vote with the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920, by attending the annual Susan B. Anthony birthday celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 6 – 7 p.m., in St. Vincent’s Hall, Room 405. At the event, Anthony’s life and work will be discussed. Also, the winner of the 2014 Susan B. Anthony writing award will be introduced by her professor and the winner will describe her work. You can also enjoy a slice of birthday cake! Please encourage students to attend. If professors wish to award extra credit to students for attending this event, we are happy to monitor sign-in sheets. Any questions may be directed to Sharon Green at sgreen@niagara.edu.
