Susan B. Anthony birthday celebration: Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6 – 7 p.m., VIN 301
Famous women’s rights reformer Susan B. Anthony is a Western New York hero whose work still influences us. Join us in celebrating her life’s work, which culminated in women gaining the right to vote with the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920, by attending Niagara University’s annual Susan B. Anthony birthday celebration. The event will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6 – 7 p.m., in St. Vincent’s Hall, Room 301. At the event, Anthony’s life and works will be discussed, and the winners of the 2015 Susan B. Anthony writing awards will be introduced by their professors and the winners will briefly present their work. You can also enjoy a slice of birthday cake! Please encourage students to attend. If professors are interested in awarding extra credit to students for attending this event, we are happy to monitor sign-in sheets. Faculty and staff who attend are encouraged to bring student guests with them.
