Third annual Face-off dinner: NBC sports analyst and former NHL star Eddie Olczyk will headline dinner

The department of athletics will host the third annual Purple Eagles Hockey Dinner on Monday, Oct. 3, at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, N.Y. 

Cocktails and hors d’ouevres will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Opening remarks will be made by Simon Gray and head hockey coach David Burkholder. This year’s guest speaker is 16-year NHL veteran and current NBC sports hockey analyst Eddie Olczyk. A native of Chicago, Olczyk played for six NHL teams from 1984 to 2000 and was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012.
