Actually, WebAdvisor has been used for purchasing since 2011, but now, it is mandatory for all non-travel/emergency purchases…that’s why we trained all budget officers, contract signers, and support staff on it.  This is a big day for NU, uniting our purchasing efforts to promote sustainability, efficiency, and good planning, so thank you in advance for working with university fiscal policies (which you can find on the MyNU policy site, and on the training video on the HR “Training” page on MyNY).  If you find the new system takes some additional learning, please don’t hesitate to call the GC or controller’s office with questions.  Much credit goes to the hard-working support staff in student accounts, accounts payable, business services, receiving, IT, and the controller’s office, who have collaborated on this project, and form our “Money-in, Money-Out” team.  If your office needs a special training, or has special purchasing needs that weren’t addressed this spring, please contact Stephanie (Cole) Adams to set up a meeting with the team.  And as always, if you have an idea to make the system better, please send it to gc@niagara.edu.
