Today is World Mental Health Day

Today, October 10, 2018, is World Mental Health Day, as designated by the World Health Organization. Follow this link to read an excellent article on 10 things you can do to improve your own mental health.

In addition, please consider attending the “Stigma Smash,” which will take place from 7-8:30 PM in the MPR on Tuesday, October 16th (see attached flyer). The event is organized by two campus student organizations, To Write Love on Her Arms in collaboration with Active Minds. It will feature connection booths to allow NU clubs, departments, and local organizations to share their resources relating to mental health. Three speakers will provide their perspectives concerning mental health. The event will close with a candle light walk. Timbits and cider, along with laptop stickers, will be provided to participants. Faculty – please consider offering extra credit to your classes for attending.
