Transition to Toshiba Business Services

In Other, by , on July 27th, 2021

Over the next several weeks Niagara University will be upgrading its print/copy services to Toshiba Business Solutions. As we work through this transition, please be aware of the following items:

Office Printers and Copiers

  • Beginning July 21, 2021, Toshiba Business Services will begin to install Toshiba laser printers, replacing all ComDoc printers/copiers on campus.
  • Existing equipment will be removed by ComDoc by July 28.
  • Toshiba will be installing new devices throughout the campus. While there may be an instance where your old device is removed prior to the Toshiba device being installed, you will be able to use any device on campus.
  • Printers/Copiers will be transitioned out in five stages over a five-week period, based on summer priority and usage. All Toshiba printers/copiers are scheduled to be installed by the end of August.

Printer and Copier Usage

Printing will be run on a software called PaperCut. PaperCut allows you to send your print job to the NU network and print on any device on campus by using either your student or employee ID number.

  • There will be signage above each printer indicating the printer’s capabilities, a one-sheet login guide, and contact info for troubleshooting.
  • To start, you will use your 7-digit employee number (located on your university ID card) to access your print job.
  • A tutorial video regarding the PaperCut interface is available for viewing on YouTube.
  • Additional resources will be available on MyNU, including a how-to guide, print request form, design request form, contact information, and FAQs.

  • One roll (100 stamps) is $55.00

If bulk mailing is required (greater than 100 pieces), please contact Sue Karaszewski. Sue will be the point of contact for any off-campus mailing service and will provide you with information to submit a requisition through WebAdvisor for these services.
