Voluntary Canvas Basics training session Room change to VIN 107
The room number for the voluntary Canvas Basics training sessions and Canvas Conferences training for those currently using Classroom Anywhere has changed. All training this week will be held in VINI 105 instead of VINI 107.
The Canvas Basics training sessions will be hands-on. I will be demonstrating how to do things in Canvas, then giving you time to try them. With that in mind, please bring a flash drive loaded with the following materials to the training sessions:
- Your current syllabus (or a recent one if you have not yet updated it) saved as a Word file
- A Word document
- A Rubric if you have one
- You may also want to bring a pen and paper for notes.
If you cannot make any of the times listed below Canvas Basics training sessions will be scheduled throughout the academic year. Or you can always set up one-on-one Canvas training. Just e-mail me at email@example.com and we can schedule sessions that are convenient for you.
Or, Canvas Basics for Faculty is now available online. This is a voluntary, fully online, self-paced, eCertificate course designed to introduce you to Canvas and its powerful tools that can assist you in providing students with the means they will need in order to succeed in your course whether you are teaching in a face-to-face, hybrid, or in a fully online class. To sign up, email Sierra Adare-Tasiwoopa ápi at firstname.lastname@example.org and include your NU e-mail address.
