Volunteers Needed: “Feeding our Future”

In Announcements, by , on June 17th, 2014

Feeding Our Future is a summer meal program where Sodexo partners with community hunger relief organizations to provide nutritious meals to children. This program donates the food necessary to provide summer meals to children who would otherwise go hungry. This year Sodexo at Niagara University will provide meals to Erie County Community Action Organization, through the Food Bank of WNY, The Magdalene Project, and Heart, Love and Soul.

Our program begins Monday, July 7, and will run until approximately Aug. 29. During this time, daily lunches will be put together for approximately 400 children, Sunday through Thursday. The lunches will be assembled in Clet dining hall kitchen each afternoon.

Sodexo is reaching out again this year for volunteers to assist in putting these meals together.
Groups of volunteers, individuals, college and high school children are all welcome.

Please reach out to Deirdre Bartholomew, general manager for Sodexo at Niagara, for more information at dbartholomew@niagara.edu or ext. 8397.
