Volunteers Needed – Summer Orientation Welcome Tent

In Announcements, by , on June 12th, 2017

Volunteers are needed to help staff the Summer Orientation (SumO) Welcome Tent.  The tent, located in St. Vincent’s Circle adjacent to Dunleavy Hall and the Castellani Art Museum, is a great location for our new students and their families to stop by to ask questions about the SumO program, our campus, and about the local Lewiston/Niagara Falls area.

The dates of Summer Orientation this year are below, along with the times that we need volunteers for the welcome tent:

  • Session 1: Monday, June 26 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Tuesday, June 27 (8 a.m.-2 p.m.)
  • Session 2: Thursday, July 13 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Friday, July 14 (8 a.m.-2 p.m.)
  • Session 3: Monday, July 17 (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Tuesday, July 18 (8 a.m.-2 p.m.)

We are ideally looking for two volunteers to sit at the tent every hour. If you are interested and available to volunteer, please email Morgan Bicknell, graduate assistant for Campus Activities, at mebicknell@niagara.edu by Wednesday, June 14. Please let her know the times that you are available to volunteer. She will then coordinate a schedule and provide further instruction.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to share your Purple Pride!
