All are invited to the third in a series of panel discussions exploring religious diversity titled “Walking a Common Path: Bridging Religious Difference in the Labyrinth.” Differences and similarities between pilgrimage in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam will be explored by Dr. Mustafa Gökçek, Associate Professor of History and Director of the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at NU, Cantor Penny Myers of Temple Beth Zion in Buffalo, and Dr. Amelia Gallagher, Chair of Religious Studies at NU. Following the presentations, NU Adjunct Professor of Management and Leadership Mitchell Alegre, a Certified Labyrinth Facilitator, will guide a labyrinth walk for participants to reflect upon and embody lessons learned from the panelists. The program takes place Wednesday, November 13, 12:15-1:50 p.m., in the Multipurpose Room, Lower Level Gallagher Center. The program is supported by the NU Diversity Committee and co-sponsored by the NU Center for the Study and Practice of Religion and the NU Center for Mindfulness Practice. Free pizza will be served.
