Welcome – Melanie Sandquist
Facility Services would like to introduce our newest team member Melanie Sandquist. Melanie is new to Niagara University and is taking on the new campus-wide role of Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Melanie comes to Niagara with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and 13 years of industrial manufacturing experience with varying degrees of environmental health and safety responsibilities.
As part of her job duties Melanie will be conducting regular safety inspections of each building on campus as well as many outdoor areas. Each area will be inspected for fire code compliance, slip, trip, and fall hazards, egress routes, building signage, and other EH&S related risks.
In order to familiarize herself with the campus community Melanie will be hosting a few meet & greets around campus. She will be available to answer questions or discuss any concerns you may have, or just to say hi.
