Niagara University has received a $150,000 grant from the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation to assist in funding construction of a Nursing Simulation Center on its campus.

The grant from the Buffalo-based foundation will be used to support spatial upgrades and capital equipment purchases within the comprehensive clinical lab, which will be housed in Dunleavy Hall upon completion.

Construction of the Nursing Simulation Center began in February. It is expected to be completed this spring.

“We are very thankful to the Wendt Foundation for their generous grant. It is an important step in the university’s goal of constructing a state-of-the-art lab that facilitates comprehensive healthcare education for the nurses of tomorrow,” said Dr. Frances Crosby, chair of the nursing department at Niagara University.
