What are those bright purple tags?

All across campus, bright purple tags are attached to places and spaces that were made possible by generous Niagara donors. The tags read “made possible through donations” and are meant to remind us of the private philanthropic support Niagara receives from its community. This support makes rooms, equipment, programs, athletics, and even entire buildings possible. Not to mention the scholarship support students receive!
“This year we are again tagging campus to highlight the generosity of our donors,” said Dr. Derek Wesley, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “it’s a visual reminder of the impact of their support.”
This is just another way to thank the University’s donors. “We want students – and everyone, really – to think about how their experience at Niagara would be different without the support of the community and our donors,” said Wesley.
Niagara’s tagging coincides with Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, which is a global generosity movement that highlights the power of people and organizations to transform their communities.
