What is the value of trash?
Following Earth Day’s theme, the Latin American Studies Program will show “Cartoneros”, a documentary that follows the paper recycling process in Buenos Aires. This event will take place on Tuesday, April 21, in Dunleavy 127 at 5 p.m. The film is both a record of an economic and social crisis and an invitation to audiences to rethink the value of trash.
Light beverages will be served. A brief discussion with visiting Fulbright Scholar, Florencia Yuvero from Argentina, and Dr. Mayorga will follow.
