WNY Girls in Sports Day at Niagara University: Share with Young Women You Know!
Attention NU employees! Register your daughter, granddaughter, niece, and other young women you know for the upcoming WNY Girls in Sports Day on Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.!
WNY Girls in Sports will give girls between the ages of 9 and 12 of all skill levels the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of sports at stations managed by coaches and female student-athletes from Niagara University and Niagara County Community College. This event will also serve as the IMPACT Freshman Day of Service, to encourage students to kick off their time at NU volunteering for a fun cause. Students interested in volunteering can visit tinyurl.com/niagaraufdos or call Brittany DePietro at 716-286-8750 to register.
WNY Girls in Sports Day is funded by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and made possible through a partnership between Niagara University, United Way of Greater Niagara, the Girls Scouts of Western New York, Niagara County Community College, Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club, Inc., and Women United. Western New York Girls in Sports was founded by Mary Wilson, wife of Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr., in 2006, with the goal of enriching young girls’ lives through involvement in sports.
