Wondering why Campus is Peppered with Bright Purple Gift Tags?

In Announcements, by , on November 14th, 2018

All across campus, bright purple tags are affixed to places and spaces that were made possible by generous Niagara donors. The tags read “made possible through donations” and are meant to remind us of the private support Niagara receives from its community.  This support makes rooms, equipment and even entire buildings possible.  Not to mention the scholarship support students receive!

“We’re tagging campus to highlight what our donors have done for our campus and students,” said Dr. Derek Wesley, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “it’s a visual reminder of the impact of donations.”

This is just one opportunity to thank the University’s donors.  All members of our campus community can also submit a short thank you video to be shared with our donors – details can be found below.

“We want students – and everyone, really – to think about how their experience at Niagara would be different without the support of the community and our donors,” said Wesley.

Niagara’s tagging coincides with National Philanthropy Day on November 15th, which celebrates the impact of philanthropic giving, volunteerism and social engagement throughout country.
