Professor Marian Granfield to Retire
Niagara University thanks Marian Granfield for her years of service, as she will retire at the end of the school year. Professor Granfield joined the Niagara University Theatre and Fine Arts Department as a faculty fellow in 2013, as the director of Art History with Museum Studies. She was formerly the curator of Education at the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University for nine years, where she also served as a lecturer for the Meet Me at the CAM series and curator of the Education Galley.
During Professor Granfield’s time with NU, she has taught courses in Art History, 14th-19th Century Art, 19th Century Art, 20th Century Art, Women in Art, Introduction to Museum Studies, and Religion and Art. Professor Granfield brought over thirty years of professional experience in the field of Visual Arts to each of her courses and students.
Throughout her career, Professor Granfield has stayed committed to developing meaningful relationships amongst her colleagues and students, as she strives to do everything she can to help NU continue to succeed. Professor Granfield has mentored countless professionals and has helped many individuals excel in finding their full potential at Niagara University.
