Niagara University To Celebrate International Week Nov. 16-20
Niagara University’s annual celebration of International Week will take place Nov. 16-20.
International Week is a joint initiative of the United States Departments of State and Education. It is intended to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the U.S.
With Niagara University’s continuing efforts to internationalize its campus, International Week is an opportunity to expose its students, faculty and staff to diversified cultures from throughout the world.
The week has been coordinated by Niagara University’s Office of International Relations and organized by international students and peer mentors. The team receives support from various clubs, departments and offices on campus, including PRSSN (NU PR Club), which helps with developing promotional materials and publicity.
The university’s radio station, WNIA, will be playing cultural music throughout the week, while Clet Dining Hall will offer internationally themed cuisine. Niagara University’s library will showcase a collection of books about different traditions and cultures around the world on its main floor, and there is a Residence Life bulletin board Competition; the winning floor will receive a complimentary pizza party.
