Message from the Provost’s office: Enhancements to the syllabus template and the access on myNU
The services and resources available to students vary widely based on the students’ enrollment type. The Academic Senate has requested that a team explore ways to clarify, streamline and update the way student services and resources are explained in the syllabus template. The solution was proposed and endorsed at Academic Senate at the May 2016 meeting. In response the following URL was created.
http://mynu.niagara.edu/services
The link connects students to MyNU and identifies the services to which they are entitled based on their enrollment type: For example, Undergraduate (UG), Graduate (GR) including Graduate Online, NUSTEP (NU courses offered through their high schools), as well as the College of Education’s Ontario Teacher Education Program, and Additional Qualification courses.
Starting June 2016, the link will be Included under the section entitled “Inclusivity, Diversity & Support for Students at Niagara University” on Syllabus Template (attached below), which will replace the current description included in the syllabus. It will also be available on students’ MyNU via the Resources tab which will recognize student enrollment type. After logging in, students will be directly connected with the information they need about NU’s resources and support services.
Again, this link will be included in the updated Syllabus Template (attached) under the section entitled “Inclusivity, Diversity & Support for Students at Niagara University” beginning June 1, 2016.
